  • Washita National Wildlife Refuge
    This gorgeous outdoor destination is located in Custer County, only less than an hour from Vici. Encompassing an area of over 8,000 acres, it’s home to numerous species of birds, waterfowl, and wildlife. Wishita River merges with Foss Reservoir within the refuge.
  • Alabaster Caverns State Park
    To the north of Vici, about an hour’s drive away, Alabaster Caverns features a quarter-mile cavern made of alabaster, which visitors can explore on a guided tour. The 200-acre park boasts other facilities, such as a horseshoe pit, picnic areas, camping grounds, and more.

Vici and its surrounding communities have an interesting history commemorated in museums and historic places, including:

  • Plains Indians & Pioneers Museum
    Found in the city of Woodward, this museum features artifacts, photos, and exhibits on the history of Northwest Oklahoma
  • Boswell Museum
    Located in the nearby town of Leedy, Boswell Museum is a one-of-a-kind appointment-only museum showcasing memorabilia about Darla Wood, who came to prominence as a child actress in the popular “Little Rascals” film series
  • Washita Battlefield National Historic Site
    About an hour away from Vici, this protected area was the site of the battle between the 7th US Cavalry under Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer and a Cheyenne village headed by Peace Chief Black Kettle
